I’m usually one to always take a heavy workload, always juggling things left and right, rarely having free time for myself. I’m taking 6 classes, working for the campus newspaper, involving myself in student organizations, constantly doing homework, exercising, and still finding time to be with my family, friends, and video games. I finally caught up on a lot of homework that was supposed to be spread out in a span of two weeks but, due to getting an add code a week later that planned, I had to cram everything. I’m glad that’s over with.
Now that it’s the weekend, I think everything finally caught up to me. Not only am I tired and stressed out mentally, but physically as well. I found a bruise on my knee! Not too sure how it got there, but all is still well. I also have a blister on my hand from playing badminton. I forgot to take off my ring while playing so it put too much pressure and made a blister. Joy!
I’ve been catching up on sleep and staying warm and cozy in my room. My portable heater does wonders and heats up my room in minutes! I finally caught up on some Fallout 3 and found shooting mutants’ heads to be therapeutic (even though I was panicking the majority of the time). Too much on the mind makes me delirious.
Here’s my question to you: what do you do when you’re stressed out, frustrated, or tired? I’d love to hear what you do and whatever suggestions you may have.
押忍!

Good Food, Painkillers, or Video Games. Sometimes retail therapy. Kinda depends on the situation.
Mmm, good food.Retail therapy’s dangerous for me, especially when all I’ve ever wanted is actually in stock ; ;
Does punching small animals count? No, wait… scratch that. (I actually like small animals.)I like to just lay on my bed and read a comic or two if I’m really stressed. Or if I’m in the mood, I’ll blast a song on my speakers and sing along! Now that always helps… ^__^ Be a rock star!!
The only thing you should know is when i’m tired, i lay down a bit, take a nap if possible.When i’m frustratded and stressed out, well i just wanna say those are parts of me i wish i could end for good. :pBut usually i have the urge to beat something up. Maybe kick a chair as hard as i can. :p
@Venus: lolwut. Punching small animals?! Do not want
I do like the idea of singing, as long as it’s in the privacy of my own room. I fail at singing in public.@Loli: Last I kicked a chair, I ended up bruising myself T___T; hahaha. Naps are always good, though!
@Lene-chan: Hmm, when I’m stressed out, frustrated, or tired? Depends on the situation, lol. If I’m tired, a nap. If I’m stressed or frustrated, it’s anime, sci-fi, foreign or of course, adult stuff. After all, these lists never end, right? Then I usually hit the treadmill nightly in any case, so that doesn’t really count, lol. But if my eyes burn and can’t watch anything, then nap it is.P.S. Since our office installed a foosball table, that’s been a great stress-reliever too. After all, I’ve been an expert since adolescence and college, lol. And let me guess, bruise on your right knee? Mine too. =)xJAYMANx’s last blog post..Blog 188 > Kanons, Pirates & Bloodbaths
@Jay: Haha, yup, right knee!The thing is, with naps, I end up sleeping longer than I really should and it doesn’t end up being a nap, but more of actual sleep lol
@Lene-chan: Hahaha, really? My bruise grew to the size of a silver dollar before disappearing, but I don’t remember any pain or ache. Just one day I looked down, and it was there, lol. Maybe I bumped a table, felt it for a second, and forgot? Yeah, when nap transforms into sleep, that happens to me occasionally. Fraks up my schedule for the rest of the day! But u know what *that* means, don’t u? Means your body is telling u that u… need… more… *rest*, lol. ^_^xJAYMANx’s last blog post..Blog 188 > Kanons, Pirates & Bloodbaths
be with someone u love or friends, chit chatting, tell them your troubles or watch a comedy. (‘~’)gordon the droid hunter’s last blog post..Gundam 00 S2 Episode 18 – When A Man Loves A Woman, An Innovator, His Mother, A Supercomputer and Gundam
@Jay: I’m trying really hard to remember when in the world I bruised my knee XD I can’t remember for the life of me D: I want to say I bumped it while exercising, but nevertheless, I never noticed haha.Running off 3 hours of sleep killed me yesterday ;_; I just wanted to sleep all day but I had classes all day! BOO.@Gordon: Being in the company of friends is always soothing
Chit-chatting does help me reorganize my thoughts when I’m stressed out, though. Keeping it inside makes me explode orz
@Lene-chan: Ehh, no need to remember it. I’ve learned it’s just a waste of brain voltage, lol. Might’ve been a car door, kitchen table, or anything. Then again, what kind of knee-bumping exercising r u doing?Ahh, listen to this. For some curious reason, I’ve been able to manage 5 hours of sleep almost-daily for months. With random naps sprinkled during lunch. Thankfully, I catch up with 7 or 9 hours over the weekend. So I can’t imagine 3 hours! One compromise was shortening my nightly treadmill-run-plus-stationary-bike to fit a half-hour (watching anime or sci-fi) instead of a full-hour. No noticeable drawbacks at all. But that’s an extra half-hour to sleep, lol.
I’m assuming I probably bumped it while cycling XD; Still not too sure though.I used to be able to do 5 hours of sleep during school days, but I was soooo tired. My body couldn’t keep up and I was mentally and physically drained all the time. I try to get at least 6-7. If I get more than that, I never get out of bed. If I get less than that, I get extremely cranky and irritable T__T;
@Lene-chan: Awww. I’m lucky. Even on 5 hours of sleep or less, I never get cranky or irritable. I’m just simply… groggy. Maybe I’m just mellow. Or maybe it’s a girl thing, cuz my roommate Lisa always gets cranky when she lacks sleep or food, lol. But no worries, I’m used to it. Since I was married to her older sister! ^o^xJAYMANx’s last blog post..Blog 188.1 > Stumble Like Thunder
I either sleep or I clean up usually. I will check e-mail or the like. I don’t want to be with friends because they would be caught up in the situation.
@Jay: It’s good to have a tolerance! And I’m jealous you don’t get cranky ;_;@Seija: Cleaning does sound therapeutic. A lot of times it makes me deviate from what I was thinking of initially haha.
