Mad Onion

16 Jan

Now, I know that as of recently, I have been giving a lot of places perfect scores. But that’s because I only go to the best places (::insert ego boost here::)! But, here in Vegas, the Mad Onion: Fine Food & Spirits is one of those places that have its ups and downs.

According to Yelp, this 24-hour restaurant in the Las Vegas area has a 3/5. Several reviewers say that the wait is long and the food is messy. But considering that the restaurant serves $.25 wings after midnight and have $9.95 Prime Rib / Beef Brisket everyday I found this not only to be a deal but a large meal as well! (more…)

Little Sheep Hot Pot

13 Jan

Contrary to the title of this article, the restaurant that Mylene and I tried out three days ago, had nothing to do with baby lambs in a hot pot. It was in fact one of the most amazing food experiences ever!

Mylene has done a great job in expanding my food palette by taking me to places all over San Diego and even San Francisco that have some great food. Not to say that I never use food reviews / Yelp / Zagat or the like but I’d rather hear it from a person who has been to the particular establishment. (more…)

In4mation X Vans: Chukka Low Review

8 Jan

On December 12, popular skate brand Vans and Hawaii streetwear brand In4mation teamed up together for the second time to release a collaboration on the very simple Chukka Lows.

A definite change from the first collaboration which featured denim, the Chukka Lows feature a Royal Blue canvas upper, red accents (the inner lining and sole), a gum midsole, and 3 sets of laces (red, white, and a white set with the In4mation name branded over the laces.)

I was lucky enough to grab a pair and wear this limited release with virtually any outfit. Here’s the rundown: (more…)

Happy 2010, everyone! It’s been a decade since the Y2K scare, isn’t that crazy? I remember 10 years ago, my family stocked up on food in case the end of the world was to happen :P I also intentionally left my computer on to see if the date would freak out. Luckily, neither of those happened. 2012, you’re next!

So, I missed doing a one-year blog anniversary post AND a Christmas post! Time flies when you’re having fun, haha. It’s never too late to give a one-year anniversary shout out to my blog. <3 I vow to myself to blog more often this year; I do have lots of things to write about in the next couple of weeks, especially with all of of the unopened DVD box sets, video games, and gunpla lying around the room. I’ll get to it, promise. I also want to try and finish up some art that’s been lying around, too (I know, I know; I keep telling myself this). I can’t find the sketch I did for Gordon a while back ^^;; So I need to draw it out again. I think it got thrown away in another stack of papers :( Humbug.

How was everyone’s Christmas and New Year’s? I hope everyone had a grand time!
