Forging a new form of sport craftsmanship, the Nike Air Yeezy II blends classic Nike court breakthroughs with the performance and aesthetic demands of bringing hype to a crowd of thousands.

A primal, tactile approach to technology runs throughout every element of the Nike Air Yeezy II. Armored animalistic forms imbue the upper. Hand skived anaconda textured leather quarter panels are embellished with a debossed Vac-Tech Nike Swoosh. The molded rear is sculpted with a reptilian inspired spike, while an engineered strap with scaled down spikes was developed to offer a greater sense of symmetry and lock down.

Bringing the inspiration forward from the late 1980′s basketball foundation of the original Nike Air Yeezy, the II is built on the Nike Air Tech Challenge II tennis shoe outsole and celebrates iconic Nike Cross Training silhouettes with the addition of the molded forefoot strap.

There’s absolute function at the Air Yeezy II’s core. Unnecessary padding was eliminated, and the foot-hugging tongue and plush collar are both comfortable and breathable. Fit was essential to the design with the goal to make the shoe slimmer than the original by tailoring it to Kanye West’s foot. The collar was also lowered to allow for greater movement.

An obsessive approach to materials results in a luxurious mix of leather, rugged ballistic nylon, and soft nubuck. Concealed but opulent details reference ancient civilizations, including a loop strap with hieroglyphics that spell out ‘YZY.’ Each screw on lace aglet is obelisk shaped, and the anaconda texture is echoed on the eyelets and leather lace toggle that carries the Roman numeral ‘II.’

The Nike Air Yeezy II in the Platinum and the Black edition will release June 9th at select global retailers in limited numbers.

The music initiative brings together three diverse and unique Korean artists, featuring indie icons, Jaurim; rising hip-hop stars, Aziatix; and award-winning electronic act, Idiotape. I can’t say this enough: I miss the NBA on NBC!

The book covers their early days on the playground, as teammates during international play all the way up to their lives after basketball. The fabled 1979 NCAA Championship game, which many thought as the beginning of their fated careers, was merely a stepping stone toward bigger things to come.

Eventually the storied Lakers-Celtics rivalry will snatch the headlines of national newspapers during its peak. Magic’s HIV Announcement in 1991 and their time spent on the 1992 Dream Team for the Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain are also covered in this book.

The narrative is an in-depth look at two players who changed the NBA from the moment they started their legendary careers. From humble beginnings to super-stardom, Bird and Magic come from similar backgrounds. It’s no wonder why their paths have crossed more frequently than any other duo in NBA history.

Magic and Bird personified basketball in the 1980′s. Both players had personalities that were polar opposites of each other. Those personalities ultimately embodied the teams they played for. Basketball eventually shifted from being about black and white to being about Celtics and Lakers.

This book is a must read! For any fan of history, this book gives us a glimpse into not just two larger-than-life legends, but the growth of the NBA into an international brand. The book follows the state of the NBA through the early 1980′s into the 1990′s closely. Very well written! Definitely a great break from reading fiction.

When The Game Was Ours by Larry Bird and Earvin “Magic” Johnson (w/ Jackie MacMullan) is published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. It can be found in hardcover, paperback and audiotape.

Here’s a video written, directed and starring NBA Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving playing Uncle Drew. The guys on this court thought they were shooting a documentary about a budding young basketball player named Kevin. What they didn’t bargain for is the game of Kevin’s Uncle Drew. Just watch and you’ll see.

The entire Channel 4 News Team is coming back! There have been some rumors that they wouldn’t be able to return because of scheduling but the rumors have been dispelled! I’ve never been more excited for a movie in my life.

Just finished the first season of Zettai Reido that I’ve been meaning to watch. Starring Ueto Aya, leading lady of many other dramas I’ve watched, Zettai Reido revisits unsolved cases that have baffled the police for years.

Investigating cases using a different perspective and following new angles, they are able to solve cases that have otherwise fallen by the wayside. Along with group of detectives each with their own strengths, they work as a team to solve these mysteries.

This show is very intelligent. Sometimes a break in the case doesn’t appear until very late in the show. Sometimes, you know who the killer is at the very beginning but it’s a race to find evidence. It’s like CSI but with more comedy and less shock value (and doesn’t drag on forever).

The best part about this show is that you can connect with the emotion of the characters. It’s hard to relate to American TV sometimes because characters are so obviously flawed that you want to slap them repeatedly (but that’s for another blog).

This show is recommended. I am about to watch the special and the second season! Excited to report my findings and I have more shows on the way!

Every Little Thing have been a staple in the Japanese music scene since the mid-1990′s. The duo of Kaori Mochida (vocals) and Ichiro Ito (guitar) have released ten albums. Acoustic Latte is an compilation of their most popular songs.

Water(s) is a very soothing song that makes you feel like you’re in a Paris cafe. Ai no Kakera is a guitar-driven melody coupled with Mochida’s sweet voice. The songs Fragile and Ai no Uta are ballads telling of a future that the couple cannot realize.

If you’re looking for a nice, soothing album and you don’t mind sweet Japanese singing, this is the album for you.

DREAM CHANCE! Host MC Kamiyama (Sakurai Sho) gives an energetic performance during the game. As the series progresses, so does the manner in which the show is produced by Honma Toshio (Yokoyama Yu). We learn more about both characters and the dark past connecting them.

Tune in now! The dark plot highlights the types of moral dilemmas in which people find themselves. The Quiz Show 2 definitely does not disappoint. The deeper into this series, the more complex situations the characters are in. It also makes you wonder what the hell a guy like Kamiyama is doing on television and what Honma has to do with it.

You do not have the watch the first season to understand this show. All in all, enjoy a great drama that pushes the boundaries of human ethics. Definitely recommended!
