Kirby’s Dream Band #MusicMonday

I know this is leaning towards Tuesday than Monday, but hey: better late than never, right?
This past Friday during Anime Conji at the Town & Country Resort, I left my table at Artist Alley for an hour to check out a cover band called Kirby’s Dream Band. I first received the invite to check out this band through mutual friends promoting the event a couple of weeks prior to the convention. If there’s one thing that I really, really love: they’re cover bands. Let alone: cover bands covering video game music!

With conventions such as Comic-Con International, Anime Expo, and Penny Arcade Expo, we here at Rhythm Emotion love supporting our local anime fans by checking in from Anime Conji 2012. Luckily enough, our very own @lenejenius is a Staff Artist at the convention and allows for us to get a behind the scenes look at the convention. Anime Conji 2010 recap

This past weekend was San Diego’s first-ever Anime convention: Anime Conji! The convention was held at the Doubletree Club Hotel off of Hotel Circle, not to be confused with the Doubletree Hotel near Hazard Center (which I thought was the venue at first). This was my first time at a first-year convention and for a small convention, I think it did well. Venus and I had our first Artist Alley experience and had no clue what to expect. Note to self for upcoming conventions: book a hotel room. It makes commuting so much easier, especially since the both of us have a hard time getting up early ;_; (more…)

Long time no blog! I didn’t realize I’d take this long of a hiatus from blogging, but hey. That’s what happens. I’m 6 weeks away from graduating and about to brace myself for my first Artist Alley appearance at San Diego’s 1st ever Anime Conji this weekend! Please visit Venus and I at tables 7 & 8!
