Almost a year ago, Konata and Yuki helped out with decorating the house with Christmas ornaments. This year, Miku wanted to help! Although, she seemed to enjoy posing with the decorations more than helping out.

Long time no blog! Apologies for the sudden hiatus: again, school has taken over my life. That, and I also had no idea what to blog about since school started. I’ve had a repeating pattern of school, work, rest, randomly go out, then repeat, but now I have things to share!
For the longest time, I’ve been meaning to get a shelving cabinet to house my figures. To be honest, I didn’t even know where to start! I’ve been eyeing on other people’s blogs about different kinds of shelving cabinets and ran across IKEA’s DETOLF. There’s an IKEA within 20 minutes from where I live, so I decided to check it out at their showroom and see how it looked. Once I saw it, I instantly fell in love.
I went to IKEA on my own to go pick it up, only to find it out that it’s a hefty 88 lbs. 
so I had to ask Lester to see if he could help me out. We took another trip and finally picked it up! How we got it into the van and into the house, I don’t know, but that’s okay 
The thing is, before putting the cabinet into my room, I had to do some rearranging. Lots and lots of rearranging.
Touhou Nendoroid series

Touhou. Nendoroids. TOUHOU Nendoroids! Just announced on the official site that there will be a Nendoroid based on the Touhou series available for purchase at C76. So far, the silhouette they’ve shown us is of Reimu, but wouldn’t it be cool if they had even more of the characters?
If they come out with a Hong Meiling or Flandre, I’M ALL OVER IT. Then again, I’d want them all. ;x
If anybody’s going to C76…c-could you please check this out? ;___; Speaking of Nendoroids, I’ve yet to actually pick one up myself. I only own the Nendoroid Petits from Lucky Star and Haruhi. I was really tempted on getting the Kagamiku, but I really, really want the regular Miku for myself ;_; Oh, and maybe a Tsukasa. If I could get my hands on Exelica, though…that’s a whole different story right there.

Billy Herrington figma

I was checking out Good Smile Company’s site about the new figma lineup for the next couple of months and saw the above picture: a Billy Herrington figma. I…I’m seriously at a loss for words Immortalized six-pack! Muscles galore! Most definitely a spitting image of him. Check out GSC’s page for the figma. The poses they put him in are really amusing 
It didn’t help that I went to Boing Boing and read up on Danny Choo‘s latest post about the former gay porn star and watched one of the many internet memes that have spawned because of him. I’ll never think of Cirno the same way again ;_;
Are there any figures or toys that have left you at a loss for words? Surprised you? Made you go “WTF?”
Konata crashes a Christmas party

Went to a Secret Santa exchange at Thien’s house to celebrate the holidays with good friends, good eats, and good times. This was probably the biggest celebration I’ve been to in a while, considering we barely fit into a decent group photo

1/35 Lancelot and SD Exia

Since it’s post-finals and I really needed some retail therapy, I treated myself to a nice 1/35 Lancelot from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. I was really close to getting the Vocaloid Miku 1/8 PVC, but I actually want the figma more than the PVC. I dropped by Trendy in Mitsuwa to check out their stash and found Vocaloid Nendoroids (namely Rin and Len), tons of MG Gundam kits, and…ah, so much more! I love going to Trendy. If I can’t find what I need at Rising Sun Creations, I go to Trendy.
Also ended up treating myself to an SD Exia! The 1/100 Overflag was there too but the fact that I actually saw an SD Exia in stock made me get it right away. Konata is ecstatic about both purchases
Before I left Mitsuwa, I went to the vendor in the front selling taiyaki and sweet potatoes. I treated my mom to some custard taiyaki and a sweet potato and she was as happy as can be.
I love Clairemont Mesa.
